Our Program
In additon to the classroom at Montessori Learning Home, there is the atrium of Our Lady of Schoenstatt. This sacred space allows the children to use simple but beautiful materials which invites them to prayer and and gives them the opportunity to the learn scripture and Liturgy.
The founders of Catechesis of the Good Shepard stated that the child has the capacity to connect to God but in a different way than an adult. Though the “work of the hand”, the materials become the child’s prayer.

During the summer months, THE BIG GARDEN comes once a week to provide gardening classes.

Meet Miss Rita
Miss Rita has enjoyed serving the families of the Montessori Learning Home for 27 fun filled years where she has observed the growth and development of many children. In addition to guiding them in the Montessori environment, she especially enjoys reading and singing songs with them.
Miss Rita participates in her parish, assists in other CGS atria, and likes to spend time with her adult daughters, extended family and friends. Hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking, letter writing, playing her guitar and traveling. She lives with two elderly cats, Smokey and Stryder.
She looks forward to many more years working with small children.
